The Truth Lies chronicles the downward spiral of Dave. When we first meet him, he is at his wits end. As the story progresses we learn that the love of his life, Reyna, is currently dating someone else. As Dave tries to figure out how to salvage what’s left of his relationship, Reyna’s blatant dismissal of him sends Dave into a jealous fury. Dave, no longer the victim, takes matters into his own hands.
David Hunter Jr.
David Hunter Jr. was born in Washington DC and grew up in the Metro Area. He attended Hampton University and received a B.A. in Theatre Arts Performance. His acting career has ranged from performing with an Improv Troupe at the DC Improv to performing on the stage for various theatre productions. Along with these ventures, David has provided his voice for many Animated projects along with starring in front of the camera for a Samsung Galaxy S phone Commercial and the New Television Pilot, “Very Smart Brothas”. He is Thankful for all of the opportunities he has received and knows that with this platform as an Actor, he is Blessed to be a Blessing.
Simone Shepherd, has been designing her own path since her arrival on the Hollywood scene. This Pittsburgh native is best known for her role as a series regular on BET’s hit show HellDate. She also starred in the comedic film “Tons of Love”. Although acting has been a love of Ms. Shepherd, who also has a BA in theater from North Carolina Central University. For many years, her true passion has been writing and directing. Shepherd gained attention for her short film ,“Tracks” that followed a lady crime boss who started hustling human hair using the same tactics used to sell drugs. Currently, Shepherd has teamed up with Torrei Hart to create a comedic duo known as PrettyFunnyFish. PrettyFunnyFish has a hit comedy Youtube channel, with well known parodies like; their Basketball Wives LA Spoof series, their Destiny’s “Bow Down” sketch, and many more. The duo currently has a deal with Russell Simmons’ company All Def Digital to create and star in comedic programing for his web based network.
